The scenic sixteenth
par-4 has a breathtaking vista down a long slope to a well
protected green.
Accuracy is rewarded on this short hole. There's no need to get fancy;
just go
for the 100-yard marker, and take a wedge on home.
The
rough that comes into play on the tee shot on both sides is deep enough
to severely
hamper your 2nd shot, so keep it in the fairway. The most important
obstacle to avoid on the approach shot is the water hazard in the
center.
The 16th green is pitched steeply from back to front,
so keep it below the hole. Surviving the 16th with par is not bad.
