Although the  par-4 second hole plays short and appears to be a very easy hole, it can jump up and get you. A modest 391 yards from the championship tee, the 2nd hole offers an  intimidating opening swing toward a very narrow fairway guarded by a creek along the full length on the left. Out-of bounds is a threat all along
the right. The safest play is to favor the right middle fairway since tee shots feed left. Longer hitters may attempt to carry the corner of the creek on the left. The fairway slopes right to left initially but levels off around the 130 yard marker.

The green has several undulations making it one of the toughest greens on the course. The soft  green fringe is not receptive to run-up shots from long irons or fairway woods. However,  beware of hitting it long. Any approach that carries over the back of the green will present a staunch up-and-down challenge to the steep sloping green.
