 The eighth hole is the most difficult handicap hole on the
course. Don't let this short yardage par 4 fool you. A large fairway
sand
bunker can block out full-swing drives, causing most players
to
lay up short of
the trap and then take the last 140 yards with a short iron into this
very shallow green. Hurricane Creek lurks in front of the green just
waiting
to gobble up an errant or short shot. The key to this hole is
placement of the tee shot. Keeping the ball in
play is essential.

The green has a
ridge from back to front that
quickly gathers balls to the left or right. Reading this green is
tricky. Take a good look and trust the slope of the hill...not your
eyes!
